Fertility Tests

understanding your ability to conceive

Our Fertility Testing is comprehensive and noninvasive. Our assessment is based on a functional approach to testing hormones, nutritional deficiencies, food allergies, as well as toxic element exposures.

The following list includes some of the more common evaluations that we incorporate as part of our fertility program:

Expanded Female Hormone Panel

This test (non invasive salivary test), measures hormone levels, but has the capacity to assess specific levels over the course of an entire menstrual cycle. This test can be performed and is useful even if you have irregular cycles. It may provide information about:

ovulation patterns, anovulation (no ovulation), phase patterns; both the duration and dysregulation of the follicular and luteal phases, hormone levels (excess or deficiency).

Adrenal Stress Test

Abnormal levels of the stress hormone, cortisol, can impact other systems in the body, including your thyroid and ovaries. Imbalanced cortisol levels can affect sleep, mood, contribute to anxiety, cause muscle aches, affect the immune system and blood sugar levels. Because cortisol has a daily rhythm, and its levels vary during a 24-hour period, this test helps accurately identify your specific hormone fluctuations and how they may be impacting you.

Comprehensive Food Allergy Panel

Food allergies are mediated by the immune system, and may be associated with symptoms of fatigue, mood swings, rashes, gas, bloating, constipation, headaches, and cause a myriad of other symptoms.

The involvement of the immune system may be an important contributing factor in cases of unexplained fertility.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

A hair tissue mineral analysis is a screening test for the level of 20 minerals and toxic metals in a sample of hair. It is a tissue mineral biopsy that is non-invasive, relatively inexpensive and extremely accurate. Providing a mineral blueprint of one’s biochemistry, a hair tissue mineral analysis can provide pertinent information about your metabolic rate, energy levels, sugar and carbohydrate tolerance, stage of stress, immune system and glandular activity. It has been shown that environmental toxins have an impact on the reproductive system and other organs in the body, which can impact fertility.

Nutritional Symptom Survey & Assessment:

Your answers to the questions in the Nutritional Symptom Survey, will allow you to voice the perceptions of your symptoms and health concerns, so your doctor may find foundational or root causes of what’s happening in your body rather than focusing on individual symptoms. The report includes a list and explanation of body systems (liver, digestive, female, etc), listed in order of importance that need nutritional support to help balance your body’s chemistry and function. As you work with your health care practitioner in following his recommendations for supplements, diet, and other health practices, you will note a gradual, progressive sense of increasing vitality and well being.
